Hello! I’m Alexa, the chiropractor here at Wintergreen. My passion for science and my involvement in sports, particularly volleyball, inspired me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During my undergraduate studies, I conducted thesis research with student athletes and served as an athletic trainer for the university’s figure skating team.
My personal experiences as both a patient recovering from my own injuries and as a care provider have deepened my appreciation for chiropractic care, and eventually led me to pursue my doctorate of chiropractic at Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri. Over the years, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including low-income integrative medical clinics in St. Louis, family-oriented practices in Oakville, and sports rehabilitation clinics in Colorado. These experiences, ranging from supporting families to working with professional athletes have given me a well-rounded perspective, and I’m confident in my ability to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
Why Work With Me
Throughout my life, I was torn between pursuing a career in education or healthcare. Chiropractic care allowed me to blend both passions. As an athlete with recurring injuries, I have always been curious about the mechanisms of pain—what caused it, how to fix it, and how to prevent it in the future. With the help of some very knowledgeable practitioners, I learned to understand and manage these injuries.
Initially I was hesitant about chiropractic care, but my positive experiences reshaped my perceptions and motivated me to help others in the same way. If you’re unsure whether chiropractic care is right for you, I encourage you to reach out with any questions. I’m here to provide clarity and support.
My Approach
I practice an evidence-informed approach, combining the latest research with patient experiences and preferences. I take my time to truly listen to my patients, crafting personalized care plans tailored to your unique needs. Everyone’s goals are different, and I believe your treatment plan should reflect that for each individual.
As your chiropractor, my priority is to help you alleviate pain and regain the quality of life you deserve. I strive to empower my patients by providing the knowledge and tools needed to better understand their conditions, build confidence and strength, and maintain long-term health. I welcome your questions and aim to address any concerns before or during your treatment journey.

Hi! My name is Emma. I am a founding member of Wintergreen Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Clinic. My passion for physiotherapy stems from growing up as a competitive gymnast and gymnastics coach. As a gymnast, I experienced firsthand the injuries and setbacks that can occur during training and competition. I understand how injuries can immensely impact your life, causing physical limitations, pain, and emotional distress. Through my personal experiences with injuries and rehabilitation, I realized the impact physiotherapy had on my own life. Physiotherapy helped me to regain strength, and confidence, allowing me to return to the sport I loved. My personal challenges made me realize I wanted to help others undergo the same positive changes in their lives!
Why Work With Me
I started my journey to becoming a physiotherapist studying Gerontology at the University of Guelph. I chose to study older adults because growing up, my grandparents were very special to me. As they grew older I became more aware of the difficult challenges older adults can face. This course allowed me to better understand the physiological aspects of aging, and this knowledge helps me now as a physiotherapist in tailoring my treatment plans that address age-related conditions and challenges such as osteoporosis, arthritis, and balance deficits. Incorporating gerontological principles helps me optimize my patients’ independence, improve quality of life, and promote healthy aging!
I then travelled to beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland to get my Master’s in Physiotherapy. I was lucky to spend time in several hospitals across Scotland getting experience in several areas of physiotherapy like Neurology (Stroke, and traumatic brain injuries), Cardiorespiratory (COPD, asthma, and pulmonary rehabilitation), Acute Hand therapy, Pelvic health, and Musculoskeletal clinics. If you are unsure if physiotherapy is the right path for you please reach out to learn more about how I can help you.
My Approach
With a warm smile and genuine kindness, I greet my patients, making them feel valued and at ease. I am here to listen and work together in developing a treatment plan that will work best for you. My approach to physiotherapy treatment is patient centred, focusing on understanding the specific needs and goals of each person. I prioritize keeping up with the latest evidence-based practice to optimize your recovery journey. I plan to commit to being a lifelong learner and continue learning and specializing as my career develops. You will find I am very compassionate and empathetic which fosters a strong therapeutic relationship, encouraging you to feel confident that you are in good hands.
My goal as your physiotherapist is to provide you with great care involving manual therapeutic techniques, educate and guide you on your treatment options, and provide you with at-home self-management strategies you can utilize throughout your daily life. I encourage you to please ask questions and address any concerns you may have before, during, and after treatment.

Hi there! I’m Isabel, and I’m a Registered Physiotherapist here at Wintergreen. I obtained my Master of Science in Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University in 2022 and I also hold a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree (2018) as well as a Master of Science in Global Health degree (2019). My love for building therapeutic relationships with clients and helping them overcome challenges to get back to the activities that are most meaningful to them is what ultimately led me to pursue a career in the rehabilitation field.
Why Work With Me
Over the course of my education and extensive training, I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients with a wide range of complex orthopedic, neurological, and cardiorespiratory conditions in both community clinic and hospital settings. In doing so, I developed keen interests in manual therapy techniques, active-based rehab, chronic pain management, and concussion rehabilitation. I’ve also developed a keen ability to develop and adapt treatment plans so that they are specifically tailored to each patient’s specific goals and lifestyle. I’m a huge advocate of life-long learning and am always looking for ways to expand my skillset through research and continuing education.
My Approach
At the centre of my approach to working with clients is a positive therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel heard and cared for. After a thorough assessment, I work with the patient to develop a treatment plan that fits their goals and lifestyle. I believe that no two patients are the same – and so no two treatment plans will ever be exactly the same. I am a big proponent of one-on-one, hands-on treatment as well as active movement in my practice, with the goal of helping patients build up self-efficacy and confidence as they make progress towards their treatment goals.
My goal is to get to know your story and the things that are most meaningful to you, and use this knowledge to provide care that is individualized and patient-centered. In doing so I hope to make your rehab journey meaningful and enjoyable!
